Nurturing Dreams: A Heartfelt Thanks to TCA
Sports have played a transformative role in Akshayan’s growth over the past two years at the Thenmaradchi Cricket Academy. Since Grade 01, he has shown remarkable progress under the dedicated guidance of Coach Tharshan, whose professional yet enjoyable training approach has nurtured both his skills and passion for cricket. The academy’s selfless service—providing free quality coaching along with essential gear—has deeply touched us as parents. We are sincerely grateful to the academy and Coach Tharshan for their invaluable support and mentorship in shaping Akshayan’s budding cricket journey.
The Past
From 2019 to 2025, Thenmaradchi Cricket Academy (TCA) steadily strengthened grassroots cricket in the region through structured coaching, skill development camps, friendly matches, and practice tournaments. Despite challenges, the academy maintained continuous training, expanded participation, improved equipment, and deepened community engagement. Over the years, TCA has built not only skilled young cricketers but also a strong culture of discipline, teamwork, and community pride.

Founders’ Story
The story of We Love Cricket began in 2017, during a personal trip to Chavakachcheri, Thenmaradchi in Sri Lanka. As a cricket enthusiast, I was immediately drawn to the energy of the young people playing tennis cricket wherever they could find space. Their passion was unmistakable – but so was the lack of proper training facilities, equipment and structured opportunities for hardball cricket.
