Thenmaradchi Cricket Academy (TCA) is a grassroots cricket development academy based in Chavakachcheri, established in 2019.
Academy Profile
TCA was founded with a strong belief that passion, discipline, and opportunity—rather than economic background—should define a young cricketer's future. Our objective is identifying, nurturing, and developing cricketing talent from local and village communities.
The academy is fueled and supported by the We Love Cricket, whose vision is to strengthen cricket at the community level and create pathways for young players to progress into higher levels of the game.
Founders' Story
We Love Cricket (WLC) was founded in 2017 after witnessing the passion of young cricketers in Thenmaradchi, Sri Lanka — and the lack of facilities to support their talent.
What began as a desire to help one local hardball club soon grew into a bigger vision: creating structured opportunities for children and youth to learn, train, and thrive through cricket.
This led to the launch of the Thenmaradchi Cricket Academy (TCA) in 2019, providing equipment, coaching, and a pathway for young players to develop both on and off the field.
